KUALA LUMPUR – A heavy downpour this evening has led to flash floods and gridlocked traffic across several main roads in the capital.

The Kuala Lumpur command and control centre reported congestion around Jalan Genting-Klang, Jalan Istana, Jalan Kinabalu, Jalan Sg Besi, Jalan Tun Razak and Jalan Lingkaran Tengah 2.

Earlier today, Astro Radio Traffic said traffic was slow due to stagnant water near a Shell station along Jalan Genting-Klang, leading to congestion from Bulatan Pahang.

TikTok user @leojualrumah shared a video displaying flooded areas with trapped cars.
