KUALA LUMPUR – Lane closures and traffic diversion will affect a portion of the Federal Highway at night on Friday and Saturday due to work on the LRT3 project.

The main contractor, Setia Utama LRT 3 Sdn Bhd, said the lane closure and diversion would be at the Petronas and Shell petrol stations after Universiti Teknologi Mara on the Kuala Lumpur-bound direction of the highway.

Work on the LRT3 at this stretch will be from 11pm to 5am on the affected dates, it said in a statement.

“During the closure, one lane will be made available for motorists heading towards KL.

“The diversion is implemented following the approval from the Malaysian Public Works Department,” it said.

The LRT3 is to extend rail connectivity to the western corridor of Greater Kuala Lumpur and the Klang Valley and will run between Bandar Utama and Klang. – June 11, 2024
