Express bus crashes into road divider, seven injured

Fire Dept says bus skidded, collided with road divider after passing Jalan Duta toll plaza on its way to KL early this morning

KUALA LUMPUR– Seven people were slightly injured, including the express bus driver, when the bus skidded and collided with a road divider after passing the Jalan Duta toll plaza on its way to Kuala Lumpur early this morning.

Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) senior fire officer Mohammad Yusri Aziz said the FRD received an emergency call regarding the incident involving the bus heading to Kuala Lumpur at 6.17am.

He said a total of four firemen, together with a fire engine from the Menjalara fire and rescue station, were rushed to the location upon receiving the call.

“All of the victims on the bus were successfully rescued by the fire brigade,” according to the statement.

According to the statement, all victims were taken to a Health Ministry facility. – June 12, 2024
