KUALA LUMPUR – RapidKL is racing against time to rectify its train service disruptions on the Kajang line as rush hour commuters have begun to crowd the respective MRT stations.

Due to the delay, commuters took to social media to vent their frustrations.

One X user, Ain Husniza, pointed out that the train has not moved for the last 30 minutes.

Another X user, @chocgheez, shared a photo of the TRX station showing commuters crowding the station, with some passengers sitting on the stairs.

Meanwhile, @_syfqhznl said a train on MRT’s Kwasa Damansara line was not moving.

At MRT’s Maluri station, a netizen complained about the malfunction of the train doors, as it has not moved for half an hour.

However, RapidKL did not only receive flak for the service disruptions; social media users complained that RapidKL took a long time to inform passengers of the delay.

RapidKL informed passengers that technicians are currently in the process of rectifying the situation, adding that there are no disruptions on the MRT Putrajaya line.

According to RapidKL, the disruption is due to a malfunctioning train at the Maluri station, which will be taken out of service. – July 22, 2024
