KUALA LUMPUR – GXBank has awarded its inaugural Impian Gigih Biasiswa scholarships to eight outstanding students from underserved communities.
The Impian Gigih Biasiswa was launched in June 2024 and aimed at providing financial support and mentorship to help students pursue their academic dreams.
At the award ceremony, GXBank chief of staff Hildah Hamzah reiterated the bank’s commitment to education and financial inclusion.
“We believe that every Malaysian has a right to education and the opportunity to transform their lives and reach their full potential. A person’s financial situation should not be a barrier to achieving their dreams.
“We admire their dedication and resilience, and we want to be there for them and future Impian Gigih scholars in creating a positive impact in their communities and the nation,” she added.
The scholarship covers tuition, fees, and other education-related expenses. The Impian Gigih scholars will also receive guidance from GXBank mentors to help them succeed in their studies and future careers.
Impian Gigih Biasiswa is part of GXBank’s larger financial inclusion and literacy plan, which aims to enhance financial well-being, ensure educational access, and promote financial literacy across the nation. – October 21, 2024
