KUALA LUMPUR – Authorities are urgently seeking the public’s help in locating Albert Tan Pek Chuan, a 67-year-old man who has been reported missing after leaving his home in Taman Orkid, Klang, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Tan’s daughter filed a missing person report after receiving a disturbing email from her father, in which he appeared to bid farewell, according to a statement by Klang Utara police.
He was last seen around 11am on Tuesday, riding his black foldable bicycle, and has not been in contact with his family since then, according to his daughter’s social media posts.
Klang Utara police chief S. Vijaya Rao has issued a call for anyone with information on Tan’s whereabouts to come forward.
“We urge anyone who may have seen him or knows where he is to contact the Klang Utara police station or the nearest police station,” he said in a statement.
“They can also reach investigating officer Hamran Abu Hassan at 019-393 0239.”
Tan is described as fair-skinned, 165 cm tall, weighing approximately 60kg, with black hair.
The family is deeply concerned for his safety and is asking the public to share any information they might have, where they can do so by contacting the investigating officer. – April 4, 2025
