KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has launched a nationwide survey to gauge public satisfaction with the quality of postal and courier services in the country.

Open until May 23, the Postal Services Usage Survey aims to collect feedback that will help shape upcoming policy reforms, including proposed amendments to the Postal Services Act 2012 (APP 2012).

MCMC said the initiative is part of a broader Strategic Policy Study for the postal sector, which is currently being reviewed for government consideration.

“These amendments are crucial to ensure Malaysia’s postal and courier networks remain accessible, efficient, and inclusive,” the Commission said in a statement. “They will also help safeguard the long-term sustainability of local industry players who are facing growing challenges, while addressing the evolving demands of consumers.”

The findings of the survey are expected to guide the government in developing future initiatives that not only support the local industry, but also ensure postal services continue to meet the day-to-day needs of the public in the long run.

MCMC added that the postal and courier sector plays a critical role in supporting Malaysia’s e-commerce growth, serving as a vital backbone for parcel delivery nationwide.

Members of the public are encouraged to participate by filling out the survey form available at: https://forms.office.com/r/R5LBCg5Qt2. – May 8, 2025
