PUTRAJAYA – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he has yet to consider a Cabinet reshuffle following the resignations of Economy Minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad.

He explained that replacements could not be made at this time as both the Pandan and Setiawangsa MPs are currently on leave.

“Not yet (thinking about a reshuffle), they (Rafizi and Nik Nazmi) are still on leave, we cannot replace someone who is on leave,” he said after attending a gathering with staff from the Prime Minister’s Department here today.

Also present were Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

Yesterday, Rafizi and Nik Nazmi announced that their resignations would take effect on June 17 and July 4 respectively.

Both PKR lawmakers have linked their decisions to their recent defeats in the party elections. – May 29, 2025
