Nurul Izzah, Saifuddin to lead PKR’s election charge as joint directors

Fuziah Salleh reappointed as secretary-general; Fahmi Fadzil stays on as information chief while William Leong retains treasurer post in party reshuffle

KUALA LUMPUR — Nurul Izzah Anwar and Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail have been appointed as joint election directors of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR), following a meeting of the party’s Political Bureau and Central Leadership Council (MPP) earlier today.

In a statement, PKR information chief Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said Saifuddin was also named a member of the Political Bureau, while Datuk Mustapha Sakmud would remain as chairman of the Sabah State Leadership Council (MPN).

The meeting also confirmed the reappointment of Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh as secretary-general, William Leong as treasurer-general, and Fahmi himself as information chief.

“The meeting expressed its utmost appreciation for the sacrifices, contributions, and dedicated service of the former deputy president and other leaders, and hopes that they would continue contributing to the party and its cause,” he said.

He added that the meeting also touched on current issues, including global geopolitical and economic developments, as well as preparations for the upcoming Sabah state election. — June 21, 2025
