Headmistress found dead at school in Gemencheh 

The 44-year-old was discovered unconscious in teachers’ room after attending an event and later pronounced dead at a health clinic

KUALA LUMPUR – A primary school headmistress has died after being discovered unconscious in the teachers’ room of her school in Gemencheh, Negeri Sembilan, today.

Tampin police chief Amiruddien Sariman said the 44-year-old woman had earlier attended an Entrepreneur Day event and had gone to her room to rest as she was feeling unwell.

“At 9am, a colleague found her unconscious and she was taken to the Gemencheh health clinic, where she was pronounced dead,” Amiruddien said in a statement.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death. — August 17, 2025
