KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim is set to present the Budget 2026 to the Dewan Rakyat at 4 pm today.

This is the fourth budget of the Madani administration and will serve as the financial blueprint for the first year of the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP), detailing the country’s development trajectory for the next five years.

The Budget 2026 tabling will be broadcast live on local TV and social media, with Bernama TV featuring a Pre-Presentation Analysis Special Programme at 3 pm.

According to the Finance Ministry’s pre-Budget statement, Budget 2026 will build on the previous Madani budgets.

It will maintain the three core pillars of the MADANI Economy: raising the ceiling of national growth, raising the floor of people’s living standards, and driving good governance and public service reform.

Amid global competition and uncertainty, Budget 2026 aims to safeguard Malaysia’s economic resilience.

The plan focuses on advancing the nation’s long-term economic agenda while ensuring the people’s well-being is addressed through targeted, result-oriented aid, according to the pre-Budget statement.

Speaking to media editors on Wednesday, Prime Minister and Finance Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that the Fourth Madani Budget (2026) will focus on safeguarding the people’s welfare, strengthening the economy, and reinforcing the nation’s sustainable foundations.

Following today’s tabling, the Supply Bill will undergo an eight-day policy stage debate in the Dewan Rakyat, with committee-stage debates scheduled from November 5 to 27 before its expected passage. – October 10, 2025
