KUALA LUMPUR – The secondary school administrator in Petaling Jaya involved in the fatal stabbing of a 16-year-old female student today will be transferred to the District Education Office (PPD) to ensure that the investigation proceeds smoothly and free from any disruption.
Education Ministry Director-General Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad confirmed that arrangements would be made to facilitate the transfer without affecting the learning process at the school.
“We will take action (as soon as possible) because the investigation needs to be conducted promptly,” he said during a special press conference today.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 9.30am, saw the Form Four student fatally stabbed, allegedly by a male student, at a secondary school in Petaling Jaya.
In response, police confiscated two sharp weapons believed to have been used in the attack and arrested the 14-year-old male suspect, who is also a student at the same school.
Dr Azam added that KPM had deployed a team of counsellors and guidance teachers to the school to provide psychosocial support to the students, teachers, and the entire school community affected by the tragedy.
“We have already deployed counsellors and guidance teachers. Parents and the public need not worry, as KPM has taken the necessary steps,” he said. – October 14, 2025
