KUALA LUMPUR – AirAsia has launched a promotional one-way fare of RM299, inclusive of all charges, for flights from Peninsular Malaysia to Sabah between November 26-28.

The offer is in conjunction with the upcoming Sabah State Election, which will take place on November 29.

The airline is providing over 4,300 seats across eight routes, with 24 flights from major domestic destinations directly to Sabah. Bookings for this limited-time offer are open from today until October 26, and can be made through airasia.com or the AirAsia MOVE app.

The promotion covers flights from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau, and Labuan; from Johor Bahru to Kota Kinabalu and Tawau; and from Kota Bharu and Penang to Kota Kinabalu.

In a statement, AirAsia expressed that this initiative is part of the airline’s ongoing commitment to connecting communities and supporting Malaysians, especially in Sabah, which remains one of its key domestic markets.

Datuk Captain Fareh Mazputra, AirAsia’s CEO, said, “Elections are moments that bring communities together to shape the future, and this initiative is our way of making it more affordable for people to return home and take part.” He further noted that Sabah continues to be a crucial market for AirAsia, with the airline striving to enhance connectivity between the state and other destinations, both locally and internationally.

The Election Commission has set November 29 as polling day for the 17th Sabah State Election, with nomination day on November 15 and early voting scheduled for November 25.
