KUALA LUMPUR – Popular premium interstate bus operator, Aeroline, has been dealt a significant blow, with the Malaysian Land Public Transport Agency (APAD) suspending all its scheduled trips from November 6 to December 5.
The suspension, announced by Aeroline in a statement, is directly attributed to the company’s continued use of its own service points at Corus KLCC, 1 Utama and Sunway Pyramid, instead of relocating to Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) as directed.
The news comes as a shock to regular commuters and travellers who rely on Aeroline’s service.
The company, known for its comfortable coaches and direct routes, stated they are currently appealing the suspension in hopes of being allowed to continue serving from these locations.
Aeroline expressed deep regret over the situation, acknowledging the distress it would cause.
“We understand the difficulties you will face due to the abruptness of this sudden directive, but we wish to appeal to you not to be angry with us for not being able to fulfill our promise to take you to your intended destination safely, nor to the government for preventing us from continuing to conduct our daily business for one month,” the statement read.
Affected passengers are being offered two options: a full refund or to keep their ticket for a future travel date.
The company also used the statement as an opportunity for reflection, indicating that the suspension period would be used to positively reflect, innovate, and further improve its services so that it may welcome its passengers back with an even better travel experience.
Furthermore, Aeroline reiterated its long-standing contribution to Malaysian public transportation, highlighting its 23 years of service and collaboration with the government.
“Likewise, we hope it will give the government some time to realise the contribution Aeroline provide to society by enabling our passengers to experience seamless and convenient point-to-point journeys, which we have done in the past 23 years.
“We remain committed to working closely with the government to support Malaysia’s progress in public transportation and to build a better Malaysia,” it stated.
“Please send your humble appeal, kind words, heartfelt opinion and positive thoughts to the government, as only your collective support will enable us to return to serving you again from our familiar and convenient city locations – KLCC, Bandar Utama and Sunway.” — November 1, 2025
