KUALA LUMPUR – Bersatu Segambut deputy chief Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad, who is wanted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to assist in investigations into the MEX II highway project, is believed to be abroad.
According to MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki, the commission will be working with the Immigration Department to track Adam Radlan’s whereabouts.
“We will begin cooperating with the Immigration Department soon. The most important thing is to determine where he is,” he said, as reported by the media today.
Yesterday, in a statement, MACC said it was searching for Adam Radlan to assist in the probe into the MEX II expressway project.
The construction of the Putrajaya–KLIA (MEX II) highway from the Putrajaya Interchange to Kuala Lumpur International Airport began in 2016 and was scheduled for completion by the end of 2019, but was reportedly delayed due to financial issues.
On September 8, Maju Holdings Sdn Bhd director Tan Sri Abu Sahid Mohamed claimed trial in the Sessions Court to four counts of criminal breach of trust (CBT) involving RM313 million, and 13 counts of money laundering amounting to RM139 million, all linked to MEX II.
In August, the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court discharged and acquitted Adam, 44, of 12 charges of bribery and money laundering involving the Jana Wibawa project after he paid a RM4.1 million compound.
The 12 charges included five for bribery under Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009 and seven for money laundering under AMLA. – November 16, 2025
