KUALA LUMPUR – Police are seeking the public’s assistance to locate Muhammad Riduan Abdullah, who is the ex-husband of M.Indira Gandhi, to aid investigations related to a committal warrant issued by the Ipoh High Court on May 30, 2014.
Ipoh police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad, the last known address of Muhammad Riduan, whose name prior to conversion to Islam is K. Patmanathan, is at No. 10, Persiaran Pegoh Dua, off Jalan Pasir Puteh in Ipoh, Perak.
“Members of the public who recognise or have information on the individual are urged to contact the investigating officer, ASP Yap Siew Cheng, at 012-909 3362,” he said in a statement today, reported Bernama.
Muhammad Riduan converted to Islam in 2009 and subsequently left his residence in Ipoh with his 11-month-old daughter, Prasana Diksa.
Two days later, he unilaterally converted his daughter to Islam without the consent or knowledge of his former wife, Indira, whom he married in 1993.
In 2010, the Ipoh High Court granted Indira Gandhi full custody of her daughter and ordered Muhammad Riduan to hand over Prasana to her mother.
Subsequently, in 2016, the Federal Court ordered the Inspector-General of Police to arrest Muhammad Riduan for defying the High Court order to hand over his youngest daughter, Prasana, to his former wife.– January 7, 2026
