KUALA LUMPUR — Bersatu deputy president Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin will miss his disciplinary board hearing tomorrow as he is currently abroad.
According to his private secretary Ahmad Ikhwan Fadhli, Hamzah is currently in Sydney, Australia, to help his daughter with university enrolment.
“Hamzah received the notice on February 7 (when was already overseas), and immediately informed the disciplinary board that he could not attend.
“He also informed the Dewan Rakyat Speaker (Tan Sri Johari Abdul) on February 4 that he would be unable to attend the Parliament session from February 5 to 13 as he is away for a personal matter,” Ahmad reportedly told Free Malaysia Today (FMT).
Hamzah was summoned by the disciplinary board to assist investigation into his alleged involvement in sabotaging the party’s 2025 annual general assembly and for his attacks against party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
This is the second summons issued for Hamzah, following an earlier one issued in October last year.
Aside from the Larut MP, the Bersatu disciplinary board has also summoned at least six other Bersatu leaders for questioning tomorrow.— February 11, 2026
