KUALA LUMPUR – Kelantan PKR today criticised former economy minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli over his recent public remarks, saying they fuel negative perceptions and threaten party cohesion.
State chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Suparadi Md Noor said the leadership views Rafizi’s actions seriously, claiming his attacks on the party and government have created unnecessary polemics and misleading narratives.
“These actions are giving a negative impact on the government and the stability of the party. As a democratic party that champions reforms, PKR has always upheld democracy, openness and freedom of speech.
“However, all differences of opinion must be channelled through the party’s internal structure to ensure harmony and stability is maintained,” Mohamad Suparadi said in a statement today.
Rafizi has in recent weeks made a number of public statements and allegations that have drawn criticism from PKR leaders, with some describing them as open attacks that could harm the party’s image and stability, and urging that issues be addressed through internal channels.
Mohamad Suparadi warned that openly attacking the party without attempting internal resolution could allow manipulation by other parties, which could in turn affect public confidence in the party and government.
“We are confident that as a former Deputy Party President, Rafizi understands the party’s rules, constitution, and governance very well. He cannot vent his dissatisfaction against the party President and other leaders just because he disagrees with certain individuals in the party,” he said.
He called on the party’s Disciplinary Board to take firm and decisive action against any members, regardless of rank, to defend PKR’s dignity and integrity.
Mohamad Suparadi also reaffirmed his personal support, as well as Kelantan PKR’s backing, for the leadership of Prime Minister and PKR President Anwar Ibrahim.– April 2, 2026
