KUALA LUMPUR – Prominent businessman Tan Sri Daing A Malek Daing Rahaman has lodged a police report and strongly denied allegations circulating online that link him to claims involving Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and an overseas property transaction, describing the assertions as “defamatory” and “entirely untrue.”
In a statement issued by his legal team, Daing referred to content posted on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @lansvin, which included a video and allegations concerning an alleged property deal in the United States.
“In the Publication it is alleged that Rosmah Mansor, the wife of former Prime Minister, Dato Seri Najib Razak, in July 2025 had directed and funded the purchase of a mansion for USD 13 million in Margos Way, New Jersey, United States of America, an exclusive ‘billionaire’s row’ (‘Mansion’). The recorded buyer is Daniyar Kessikbayev, their son-in-law.
According to the Publication, it is further alleged that in May 2026 through a confidential declaration of trust, the Mansion was transferred to Daran Investments Capital Inc, an opaque BVI shell company and I am alleged to be the shareholder of that BVI company.
The Publication further claimed that the authorities of the United States are tracing the money trail through proxies.”
Daing rejected all allegations, saying they were entirely false and damaging to his reputation.
“All the allegations that relate to me in the Publication are false, baseless, defamatory and gravely misleading. I categorically, unequivocally and without reservation deny each and every statement in the Publication as far as the same are directed at me.
“The allegations against me are wholly untrue. The Publication, circulation and recirculation of the false statements are wrongful and have caused serious injury to my reputation, character and personal integrity.”
He also warned that legal action would be taken against individuals who continue to circulate the claims.
“All persons are placed on notice that the making, publication, republication, forwarding, sharing of the false statements will expose them to legal liability and criminal prosecution.
“Members of the public are cautioned not to rely upon, repeat, share or further circulate the false Publication or any part thereof that relates to me.”
He said any continued dissemination will be treated as a further publication of defamatory materials.
“I expressly reserve all rights and remedies in law, including the right to commence proceedings against persons responsible for the publication of criminal and defamatory statements.”
“I will not hesitate to take necessary action against the perpetrators responsible for the Publication and its republication or circulation by whatever means.:
He confirmed that a police report has been lodged and that investigations are ongoing.
“A police report has been lodged over the false Publication and the police are investigating into the matter, including tracing the perpetrators and their accessories concerning the Publication and republication by whatever means.” – June 13, 2026
