Nancy Shukri’s family in mourning after husband’s death

KUALA LUMPUR – Datuk Kamil Misuari, the husband of Women, Family and Community Development Minister and Santubong MP Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, has died in Kuala Lumpur.

The Sabahan businessman passed away today, according to a statement issued by Nancy’s office.

In a Facebook post, the office said his remains will be transported to Sarawak, where he is expected to be laid to rest tomorrow.

The public who wish to pay their last respects may do so at the family residence in Taman Serira, Jalan Menggeris, Petra Jaya, Kuching, before the burial at the Samariang Islamic Cemetery.

“Let us pray that the late Datuk Kamil’s soul will be placed among the faithful. Al-Fatihah,” the statement read. – June 18, 2026
