SHAH ALAM – Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has expressed his excitement over the completion of five previously suspended stations along the Shah Alam Line of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, saying the facilities would bring significant benefits to surrounding communities.
The five stations — Tropicana, Temasya, Raja Muda, Bukit Raja and Bandar Botanik — were among those that had been deferred before being revived as part of efforts to strengthen the LRT3 network.
The Ruler’s enthusiasm was evident when he stood throughout the journey from Bandar Utama station to Johan Setia in Klang while experiencing the LRT3 service firsthand today.
He was accompanied by Selangor Permaisuri Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin and Selangor Crown Prince Tengku Amir Shah.
“Alhamdulillah, finally the LRT3 Shah Alam Line is completed and can be used. I believe there is wisdom behind this delay.
“It would have been better if the LRT3 line had been completed according to the original plan because this train service is an important public transport facility for the convenience of the people,” said Sultan Sharafuddin.

The Selangor Ruler also expressed gratitude that the long-awaited public transport infrastructure project had finally become a reality, saying it would improve the quality of life for residents, ease traffic congestion and provide a more efficient, comfortable and sustainable transport system.
Sultan Sharafuddin also praised the patience shown by Selangor residents while waiting for the completion of the mega project, adding that the delay must have contained lessons and wisdom intended by Allah S.W.T.
Over the nearly 11-year construction period, more than 13,000 people from various fields and expertise contributed to the project, including engineers, technicians, skilled workers, construction personnel and security teams.
The Sultan also conveyed his appreciation to Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) and all parties involved in completing the project.
He urged the public to make full use of the modern rail service as part of efforts to promote a more sustainable mobility culture in the future.
Earlier, Sultan Sharafuddin expressed his appreciation and congratulations to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for reviving and strengthening the Shah Alam LRT3 Line project after taking over the administration, including restoring the five stations that had previously been cancelled. – July 13, 2026
