‘Reach for the skies, remain rooted’: Anwar set to table Budget 2027

Ahead of his 3.30 pm parliamentary presentation today, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim reaffirms the government’s commitment to ensuring no Malaysian is left behind in the country’s growth agenda

KUALA LUMPUR – Budget 2027 will reaffirm the government’s commitment to ensuring national progress directly improves the standard of living for every citizen, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Ahead of the official presentation, Anwar emphasized that the fifth MADANI Budget prioritises safeguarding public well-being and ensuring Malaysians can live with dignity.

“Insya-Allah, this afternoon I will table Budget 2027 in the Dewan Rakyat, with the aspiration to ‘reach for the skies while remaining rooted to the earth’,” Anwar posted on X today.

“Watch the live tabling of Budget 2027 on major television channels and digital platforms at 3.30 pm today,” he added.

The Prime Minister, who doubles as Finance Minister, is scheduled to deliver his speech half an hour earlier than the traditional 4 pm slot. – October 9, 2026
