Budget 2027: RM150mil financing boost for Indian entrepreneurs through TEKUN, AIM

Indian entrepreneurs will receive increased financing support through TEKUN Nasional and Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia to help grow their businesses under Budget 2027

KUALA LUMPUR – Financing facilities for Indian entrepreneurs through TEKUN Nasional and Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) will be increased to RM150 million under Budget 2027 to help small business owners expand their operations.

Tabling Budget 2027 in the Dewan Rakyat today, Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the increased financing was aimed at supporting Indian entrepreneurs and providing them with greater access to business funding.

The initiative forms part of the government’s efforts to strengthen small businesses within the Indian community by improving access to financing and creating opportunities for business expansion. – October 9, 2026
