KUALA LUMPUR – The Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) is refusing to stay locked behind courtroom doors, with Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar insisting the top legal agency has a moral and civil duty to drive grassroots community support.
Defending the AGC’s role in the Madani Adopted School Programme, Mohd Dusuki confronted pushback from detractors who have questioned why government agencies are diverting energy toward educational social initiatives, an issue recently flagged even in Parliament.
“We cannot just sit in the office. We also need to go down to the ground to help the community. I believe this earns spiritual rewards, and it is encouraged in Islam,” he said at the launch of the AGC Madani Adopted School Programme at SK Pasir Hor today.
Under the initiative, a RM100,000 government grant was channelled directly into physical and technological upgrades across the campus, delivering four major infrastructure projects for students and staff.
The completed works include the Puan Sri Nik Karthini Resource Centre Digital Hub, a dedicated School Resource Centre TV Studio, extensive upgrades to Dewan Aspirasi—fitted with 12 industrial fans and a modern sound system—and the construction of Anjung Dusuki, specifically designed for Special Education Integrated Programme (PPKI) pupils.
Mohd Dusuki explained that the rollout followed rigorous coordination meetings between AGC officials and school administrators to pinpoint urgent infrastructure gaps and put student welfare first.
The intervention, he noted, directly mirrors the federal administration’s objective to ensure development dividends reach far beyond affluent urban centres down to local communities.
Looking beyond brick-and-mortar improvements, Mohd Dusuki revealed the AGC plans to conduct ongoing outreach covering legal literacy, character development, and anti-corruption integrity values for young learners.
He expressed hope that the engagement would relieve pressure on educators tasked with shaping student ethics, cultivating a future generation defined by academic achievement and uncompromised moral grounding.
Addressing SK Pasir Hor pupils directly, the AG urged them to maximize the new facilities, commit to their studies, and honor the guidance of their parents and educators.
Also in attendance were Education Ministry Deputy Director-General (Professional Development Sector) Datuk Amzan Abd Malek and Kelantan Education Department director Siti Norina Muhamad. – November 1, 2026
