Water supply disruptions hitting Petaling, KL, and Hulu Langat, October 10 to 12

1:20 PM MYT

KUALA LUMPUR – Dozens of areas in Petaling, Kuala Lumpur and Hulu Langat will face water supply disruptions between 9am on October 10 and 12pm, October 12.

This is due to the asset upgrading and maintenance works at the Sungai Langat water treatment plant, according to Air Selangor in a statement.

“The implementation of these works will cause scheduled water supply disruptions in Petaling, Kuala Lumpur and Hulu Langat regions starting from 9am on October 10 and expected to be completed by 7pm (on the same day).

“Water supply is expected to fully recover at 12pm, October 12.

“Water supply will be distributed to consumers in stages after the upgrading and maintenance works are completed and the main water supply distribution system has been stabilised.”

Air Selangor will be mobilising water tankers to affected areas by giving priority to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres and funeral homes.

For commercial customers, the purchase of water supply can be made at any of Air Selangor’s customer service counters across all regions. Commercial customers can use their respective water tankers at two local water filling stations that will be opened in Sunway Batu Caves and Selayang Mutiara.

The duration of the water supply disruption and the recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the location of the consumer’s premises and the water pressure at the distribution system. – September 26, 2023
