New documentary Sepuluh showcases Safee Sali’s exceptional football journey

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian football enthusiasts are in for a treat as a six-part documentary series, Sepuluh, takes centre stage to showcase previously unseen footage of Safee Sali’s extraordinary journey in the pursuit of football excellence. 

Premiering on Astro Arena (Channel 801) every Friday at 9pm, starting from November 24, the series pays tribute to the legendary footballer. 

Through a compelling blend of storytelling and exclusive interviews with key figures in Safee’s life, Sepuluh unveils the captivating narrative of his illustrious career in Malaysian football.  

The 39-year-old shared his thoughts on the series, emphasising that it transcends mere autobiography. 

“This documentary is more than just my story. It’s proof that with hard work and determination, dreams can come true.  

“I hope it will tell a story that will captivate everyone, not just sports fans.” 

As the series navigates through the uncertainties of Safee’s early career to his peak as a football superstar and national icon, viewers will be transported back to the roots of Safee’s childhood.

The documentary also explores the circumstances of the football scene before his arrival, shedding light on the making of the man who secured victory in the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup.
