KUALA LUMPUR – The transfer value of national footballer Luqman Hakim Shamsudin has decreased compared to last year, according to transfermarkt.com.

According to the latest update on its website, the Iceland-based attacker is now valued at €50,000 (RM254,000), which is RM253,000 less than his value in October 2022, when he was valued at RM507,000.

According to a Berita Harian report, the decline in value for the 21-year-old is due to the lack of playing time at his club Njardvik FC.

In 2020 and 2021, Luqman’s value increased to RM760,000.

Luqman, who was born in Kota Bharu, gained fame after finishing as the top scorer in the 2018 AFC Under-16 Championships.

The former Mokhtar Dahari Academy trainee then joined Selangor FC before heading to Europe to join Belgium’s KV Kortrijk.

However, he struggled for playing time and was subsequently loaned to Njardvik in February this year. – November 5, 2023
