SHAH ALAM – The Crown Prince of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah, who also serves as the chairman of Selangor FC, has pledged to cover all medical expenses for the team’s star striker, Faisal Halim, until he achieves a full recovery.

This generous commitment was disclosed by Selangor FC board member Datuk Seri Shahril Mokhtar, following Tengku Amir Shah’s visit to Faisal at a private hospital in Shah Alam today.

Despite visitor restrictions, Tengku Amir Shah spent approximately 30 minutes outside the intensive care unit to assess Faisal’s condition and offer his support.

“While Faisal does have medical insurance, we want to ensure he receives the best possible care.

“This may come with a significant cost, but His Highness, the crown prince, has reassured us that the Selangor Palace, along with himself, stands ready to cover any necessary expenses,” said Shahril.

Faisal underwent his second surgery yesterday evening after sustaining severe burns in an acid attack last Sunday while out with his family at a leading shopping mall in Petaling Jaya. – May 8, 2024
