KUALA LUMPUR — GreenBay CES has etched its name into the Malaysia Book of Records by creating the country’s largest floor mural made entirely of sporting goods, marking a bold and community-driven celebration of the company’s 10th anniversary.
The 40ft by 40ft mural was unveiled at SMK Bukit Tinggi, Klang, on Saturday, with over 200 staff, students and guests coming together to assemble the striking artwork from balls, cones, racquets and other sports equipment.
But the mural was more than a record-breaking feat. It doubled as a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, with all sporting goods later donated to 10 schools across the Klang district — five primary and five secondary — identified as in need of greater support for sports and co-curricular resources.

“As we celebrate 10 years of growth, we wanted to do something historic and meaningful,” said Chong Lin Kong, director of GreenBay KL, in a statement.
“This mural represents what we’ve always believed in – real success lies in building people and giving back to the communities that grow with us.”
The project aligns with GreenBay CES’s broader vision of youth empowerment, focusing on creating better access to sports for underfunded schools through sustainable initiatives.
“We’re proud that our 10th anniversary was marked not just by a record, but by a lasting contribution to education and youth empowerment,” said Feng Swee Boon, director of GreenBay Penang and Vision System Aspire Tech (VSAT).

The Malaysia Book of Records plaque was presented during a lively ceremony that included family-friendly telematch games, long service awards for staff, and a symbolic handover of the equipment to the selected schools.
Principal of SMK Bukit Tinggi, Norlia Zolkiaply, said: “We are honoured to have hosted this inspiring event. It was more than a celebration – it brought students, educators and industry leaders together in a meaningful way, and showed how creativity and corporate social responsibility can go hand in hand.”
Once the mural was disassembled, every piece of equipment was packed and redistributed to the participating schools — turning what was initially a symbol of achievement into practical tools for developing young talent.
