Anwar arrives in San Francisco for Apec meeting in maiden visit as PM

Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim arrived here today for the 30th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM) from November 14 to 17.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who is scheduled to attend the Apec Economic Leaders’ Week here, will emphasise the importance of regional cooperation and building economic resilience in the region amid post-pandemic and geopolitical challenges. 

Rallies and street closures: security tightens as Apec meeting starts in San Francisco

While authorities were busy beefing up security in the city with lane closures and barricades for the meeting as Apec Economic leaders will start arriving on November 13, hundreds took to the streets protesting on Sunday evening on various issues, including the call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. 

PM to head to California for Apec Economic Leaders’ Meeting tomorrow

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will be undertaking a four-day working visit to California in the US tomorrow onwards to attend the 30th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders’ Meeting.
