The US Federal Aviation Administration has ordered a thorough inspection and maintenance process on each of the 171 grounded Boeing 737-9 MAX aircraft before they are allowed to return to service.
The door plug of the Boeing 737 Max 9 that blew out on an Alaska Airlines flight was made in Malaysia, the United States’ National Transportation Safety Board has confirmed.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will keep Boeing 737-9 MAX grounded for the safety of American travellers until extensive inspection and maintenance are conducted and data from inspections is reviewed, the FAA said on its website Friday.
This allegedly involves cabin services, cargo and logistics, engineering and maintenance, as well as the commercial division, according to Scoop’s source
