Ministry monitoring prices along supply chain, will act against cartel activity

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry is tracking prices at every level of the supply chain and will use the Competition Act 2010 on those who collude to raise prices, deputy minister Fuziah Salleh said.

The Competition Commission has issued RM175 million in fines against food companies engaged in cartel and monopoly activities, as announced by the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry.
