A spokesperson from the Malaysian Highway Authority said that southbound traffic was moving slowly from Gopeng to Tapah and from Kuala Kangsar to the Meru tunnel in Perak.
A Malaysian Highway Authority spokesperson said that traffic flow at the Jalan Duta toll plaza (northbound) and Sg Besi toll plaza (southbound) is under control – while at the Gombak toll plaza (eastbound), there was a slight increase in the number of vehicles.
A spokesman of the Malaysian Highway Authority said heavy traffic was reported northbound from the Jalan Duta toll plaza, Sg Besi toll plaza (southbound) and Gombak toll plaza (eastbound), but was smooth and under control.
There has been high traffic volume detected along major highways as of 5pm today as many have taken the opportunity to spend the final week of the year on holiday with their families and friends.
