DAP lawmaker R.S.N. Rayer (Jelutong-PH) has called on authorities to charge independent preacher Zamri Vinoth Kalimuthu with allegedly insulting Hinduism.
The Sri Subramaniar Swamy Temple in Batu Caves witnessed a vibrant celebration of Thaipusam, drawing thousands of Hindu devotees from across the country. The joyous atmosphere prevailed as devotees gathered to fulfil their vows, bringing with them “Paal Kudam” (milk pots) and “kavadi,” while also engaging in acts of atonement and thanksgiving like breaking coconuts and shaving heads.
Every year, the focus of Thaipusam is usually centred on large-scale celebrations at Batu Caves, but many Hindu devotees also choose to observe the festival in a more serene and peaceful manner.
