PM says Malaysia free to voice views, form ties with any nation

"Malaysia needs allies and investments, and this country has no intention to go to war with others. We want to be on good terms with every country,” he said during the prime minister's dialogue session with chief editors and senior editors of the country's electronic, print and online media here today. 

‘Anwar’s Look East plus China move wise, timely’

Malaysia's Look East Policy with the inclusion of China is a wise and necessary move given the latter's rapid economic rise, said the Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia, or Huazong.

Look East Policy also includes China now, not just Japan, S. Korea: Anwar

He was referring to the Look East Policy that fourth prime minister Tun (then-Datuk Seri) Dr Mahathir Mohamad introduced in 1982 to learn economic modernisation strategies primarily from Japan and South Korea.
