McDonald's Malaysia has not fully withdrawn its legal suit against BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) Malaysia, as they have yet to agree on the terms of the withdrawal.
BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) Malaysia has maintained McDonald’s Malaysia remains under the “Organic Boycott Targets” category despite the fast-food chain dropping its defamation suit.
The mediation process between McDonald’s Malaysia and non-governmental organisation BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) Malaysia involving a RM6 million civil defamation suit will continue on April 30.
About 30 anti-Israel demonstrators have gathered outside the court complex here holding placards and shouting “Free, free, Palestine” ahead of the mediation between McDonald’s Malaysia and BDS Malaysia.
Some 30,000 people are expected to take part in the nationwide solidarity rally on January 13 (Saturday) to show their support for Palestinians and to protest against the Israeli military’s onslaught of the Gaza Strip.
