National Athletes Welfare Foundation partnered up with the National Sports Council and Fraser and Neave Beverages Marketing Sdn Bhd (F&N) to pay a visit to two-time Olympian Ng Joo Pong recently in conjunction with the Chinese New Year’s celebrations.
Datuk Noorul Ariffin Abdul Majeed praised the role that Malayan Railways Ltd (KTMB) has played in supporting the initiatives of Yakeb in giving former athletes a platform to be back in the mainstream.
Yakeb chairman Datuk Noorul Ariffin Abdul Majeed said EPF contributions are athletes’ future savings for retirement while Socso contributions would help preserve their welfare if they encounter accidents, injuries or other diseases.
