Increasing the floor price of rice procurement and providing additional subsidies to farmers are the proposals to be discussed at the upcoming National Cost of Living Action Council meeting on March 20.
The National Cost of Living Action Council will meet and finalise the control prices for rice next week, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim amid confusion over the Madani white rice proposal.
The Malaysia Madani white rice, which is expected to sell for RM30 for a 10kg bag starting March 1, is a proposal by the National Cost of Living Action Council.
