The high court here has fixed March 7 for the case management of the defamation suit filed by former Penang deputy chief minister II P. Ramasamy against independent preacher Zakir Naik for allegedly defaming him at a lecture in Nigeria, last November.
The drama between controversial preacher Zakir Naik and former Penang deputy chief minister II P. Ramasamy rages on, with the former filing a counterclaim against the latter over three allegedly defamatory statements issued in 2019.
Controversial preacher Zakir Naik has until January 16 next year to file his defence in response to a defamation suit brought against him for labelling former Penang deputy chief minister II P. Ramasamy as “the biggest enemy of Islam”.
