Former Tronoh assemblyman Paul Yong Choo Kiong has filed an appeal in the Federal Court against the Court of Appeal's decision upholding his conviction for raping his maid five years ago.
Paul Yong Chong Kiong's conviction for the alleged rape of his maid in 2019 is deemed unsafe and unsatisfactory due to a host of factors regarding the conduct of the trial, according to a dissenting judgement from Court of Appeal judge Datuk S.M. Komathy Suppiah.
