The United Tausug Citizens' demand for a staggering US$15 billion (RM70.2 billion) against Sabah requires Malaysia's immediate attention, said Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.
Following a recent statement by a group identifying themselves as the United Tausug Citizens, Sabah remains firm and stern in rejecting any claims akin to questioning the state's sovereignty within the Malaysian Federation.
Malaysia tidak melayan sebarang bentuk tuntutan remeh oleh kumpulan digelar sebagai United Tausug Citizens (UTC) yang mendakwa sebagai "penjaga sah Wilayah Kesultanan Sulu" ke atas Sabah, kata Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri (Undang-Undang dan Reformasi Institusi) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.
A self-styled group, the United Tausug Citizens (UTC) People of the Sultanate of Sulu, has asked the Malaysian government for an immediate payment of US$15 billion (RM70.26 billion) in “cession money” and recognition of UTC as a sovereign and independent “state kingdom”.
