KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission executive chairman Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din has been awarded the Eagle Award by the St John’s Alumni Association (SJAA) in recognition of his achievements and unwavering support for his alma mater, St John’s Institution.

Salim, who has been a member of SJAA for 49 years, expressed his appreciation towards the premier school for the award when met last night after the awards ceremony.

“I’m deeply honoured to have received such a recognition from the school in which I attended both primary and secondary schools. The eagle is a symbol of St John’s, so it is something prestigious and distinguished,” he said.

The Eagle Award is an award given to SJAA members who have made a difference in their community, industry, arena of life or field of study.

Salim, who had also achieved remarkable feats in the Malaysian property and construction sector over the past 30 years, had garnered numerous awards and accolades from various quarters, such as the Property Icon at the Pangkor Dialogue in 2016 and the Best Business Icon at the Utusan Business Awards in 2015.

He had also won the Best Global Masterclass CEO title at the Middle East Business Leaders Summit in 2015. – October 15, 2023
