KUALA LUMPUR – A woman recently discovered buried in cement in the bathroom of a rental house in Kampung Pendamar, Klang, is believed to have been murdered two years ago.

Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said initial investigations after the discovery yesterday revealed that the victim, reportedly a foreigner, was killed around October, 2021.

He added that around the same time period, two foreign suspects had moved out of the residence.

“Since the homeowner wanted to carry out repair works on the bathroom, the body was only uncovered yesterday and a report was then filed at the Pandamaran police station,” Hussein told Scoop.

“When the two suspects moved out of the house in 2021, the homeowner did not sense anything amiss, so he rented the place out to locals.”

Hussein also confirmed that a Bangladeshi man in his 30s has been remanded for 14 days to facilitate investigations into the case and help track down the two other suspects.

However, police have yet to reveal the identity as well as other details of the victim.

He said the probe is being conducted under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.

The body is currently undergoing an autopsy at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital in Klang. – December 4, 2023
