KUALA LUMPUR – The Church of Our Lady of Fatima in Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur, welcomed its parishioners for its first Christmas Mass which commenced at 7am.

Led by Father Andrew Manikam, parishioners partake in hymns of jubilation and listen to scripture readings, immersing themselves in the story of nativity, namely the birth of Jesus Christ.

The annual communal prayers echo with expressions of gratitude and hope, creating a collective atmosphere of reverence.

As the Mass concludes, the sharing of the Eucharist (sacramental bread) symbolises the divine gift bestowed upon humanity.

Christmas celebrations not only marks the festivities for all Christians in the country but gives the opportunity for all Malaysians as a plural society to count down the end of the year and lay down their hopes and aspirations for the upcoming year.
