Bursa Malaysia issues UMA query to Widad Group

The query follows company’s sudden fall in share price over trading today

KUALA LUMPUR – Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd has issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query to Widad Group Bhd on the sharp fall in the price of the company’s share price today.

At lunch break, Widad shares dipped 52.04% or 25.5 sen to 23.5 sen from 49 sen at yesterday’s close, with 124.99 million shares traded.

“Investors are advised to take note of the company’s reply to the above UMA query which will be posted on Bursa Malaysia’s website under the company announcements,” the exchange said in a filing today.

Widad Group is an investment holding company which is principally involved in construction activities and integrated facilities management services, according to its official website. – January 18, 2024
