King grants audience to Fahmi, Dzulkefly at Istana Negara

Agong gets updates on developments in social media, national health service

KUALA LUMPUR – Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim today granted an audience to Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil and Health Minister Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad.

In a post on Sultan Ibrahim’s official Facebook page today, it was stated that Fahmi had briefed him on social media developments in the country.

Also present was Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission chairman Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh Din.

Dzulkefly, on the other hand, gave the King updates on the latest developments in the national health service, along with the ministry’s new plans to enhance health facilities for the public, the post said.

“Before accepting the audience with Fahmi, His Majesty had spent time signing nearly 400 Aidilfitri cards early in the morning.

“Fahmi also had the opportunity to personally see His Majesty sign the Aidilfitri greeting cards,” it said.

The two ministers’ audience with the King took place at Istana Negara.

Yesterday, Sultan Ibrahim granted an audience to Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki to hear the latest developments from the enforcement agency.

The Agong had reaffirmed that fighting corruption, the country’s number one enemy, would be a major focus of his reign. – April 2, 2024
