KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Football League (MFL) chief executive officer Datuk Stuart Ramalingam has confirmed that he is currently negotiating his contract, which expires this August.
Stuart said that he remains committed to the MFL during the remaining time before his contract ends.
“My media friends and many others are contacting me about the recent rumours of my position. All I can say for now is that I am committed to MFL and discussions are ongoing pertaining to my contract that ends in August.
“Do note that anything official on this will be announced in due course and for now I am still committed to my role,” he said when contacted today.
Earlier, social media rumours claimed that Stuart would be leaving the MFL.
He was appointed as MFL CEO in August 2021.
Last week, MFL faced heavy criticism due to the sanctions imposed on Selangor FC following the Red Giants’ withdrawal from the Charity Shield match against Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in Johor on May 10. – July 5, 2024
