Stars of Amaran thrill fans at Rawang promotion event

Lead actors Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi dazzle fans during the special promotion of the biographical war action film, set to release for Deepavali

KUALA LUMPUR — The stars of the highly anticipated biographical war action film Amaran captivated fans during a special promotion event and press conference at Anggun City, Rawang yesterday.

Lead actors Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, along with renowned music composer GV Prakash Kumar, were in attendance, creating an electrifying atmosphere as they interacted with the media and fans.

Directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy, Amaran is based on the true story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, an Indian Army officer posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra for bravery in a 2014 counterterrorism operation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Sivakarthikeyan’s portrayal of Major Mukund has already impressed audiences, with many praising his physical transformation and dedication to the role, as seen in the teaser, which has garnered 26 million views.

Fans were particularly excited to witness the first-ever collaboration between Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, as well as the partnership between music composer GV Prakash and the lead actor.

Speaking to the crowd, Sivakarthikeyan expressed his gratitude: “The love and support I’ve received here in Malaysia feel just like coming home. 

“Amaran is a journey of sacrifice, love for the nation, and heroism. I promise it will be an emotional ride that touches your hearts.”

The film, adapted from the book India’s Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, is produced by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) in collaboration with Sony Pictures International Productions.

DMY Creation’s founder and chairman, Datuk Muhammad Yusoff, expressed his pride in being part of the project, saying, “Amaran tells a story of courage and love for the country. We believe it will resonate deeply with Malaysian audiences.”

He added, “This film not only showcases one man’s bravery but also the heart of a nation. We’re excited to bring this powerful story to local cinemas for Deepavali.”

With a stellar technical team and RKFI’s legendary production, Amaran is expected to be one of the standout releases of the year.
