KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s announcement of a series of initiatives is a testament to the government’s sensitivity to the concerns of the rakyat, said Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

“The Madani government is dedicated to easing burdens through various forms of assistance, reflecting our commitment to social justice and economic sustainability,” Fahmi said in a statement.

He added that the newly unveiled measures aim not only to provide immediate relief to the population but also to stimulate long-term economic growth.

“By balancing the need to improve the country’s financial standing with the responsibility of ensuring the well-being of the people, the government seeks to enhance fiscal resilience.”

In addition to the economic measures, Fahmi, who also serves as the chairperson of the Main Committee for the National Day and Malaysia Day Celebration (HKHM), called on all Malaysians to unite in celebrating the spirit of national pride.

“This is the time for us to come together, appreciate the blessings of independence, and contribute to the prosperity of our nation,” he urged.

Fahmi said that the government plans to reinforce its development agenda through the 13th Malaysia Plan and the ongoing crafting of the Madani Malaysia Budget, which aims to benefit all segments of society.

“As the country navigates through challenging times, the government remains steadfast in its mission to ensure that the needs of the rakyat are met while promoting sustainable economic growth.

“With collective support and cooperation, officials are optimistic about overcoming future challenges and achieving shared goals for the nation’s future,” he said. – July 23, 2025
