KLANG — Cik Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz was formally conferred the title Datin Paduka Seri after her marriage to the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, in a royal ceremony at Istana Alam Shah this morning.

Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah bestowed upon her the Darjah Kebesaran Kelas Pertama Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor (SPMS), one of the state’s highest honours, immediately after the solemnisation ceremony.

“With this conferment, the official title of the Raja Muda’s consort is Yang Mulia Datin Paduka Seri Afzaa Fadini Abdul Aziz,” the Sultan’s private secretary, Datuk Mohamad Munir Bani, said in a statement.

The SPMS, usually reserved for distinguished individuals who have rendered exceptional service to Selangor, signifies Afzaa Fadini’s new role within the royal household.

Earlier in the day, the solemnisation ceremony was held at the Masjid Istana Diraja within the palace grounds.

A bridal convoy accompanied the couple through a 1.2km route in Klang, with family members, dignitaries and state officials in attendance. Outside, crowds gathered around Istana Alam Shah and the Sultan Abdul Aziz Royal Gallery to witness the pageantry. — October 2, 2025
